In Memoriam
Joe Provenzano, DCW artist

Long time Drum Corps World artist Joe Provenzano was killed in a tragic automobile accident near his home in Albertson, NY, on Monday, December 17. He was a member of the Drum Corps World staff from the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s. With his friend and co-staff member Ed Trautner, he came up with lots of topical cartoons that were used in our newspaper as well as on a series of T-shirts that he and Ed produced for sale.

He retired about 10 years ago after a long career as a commercial artist
in New York City. Many of his cartoons will be included in the drum
corps history book that will be produced by Drum Corps World.

The entire worldwide staff of Sights & Sounds, Inc. and Drum Corps World
send our sincerest condolences to his wife Marlene and his family. He
was a good friend and a big drum corps fan and will always be
remembered.

Cards can be sent to the Provenzanos at:
111 Netz Place
Albertson, NY 11507
