DCI Board to vote on electronics, amplification
by Vince Lamb, DCW staff

Two of the most controversial rules change proposals, electronics and amplification, passed the first step, the Rules Congress (the instructor representatives of 14 corps), by 12-2 votes at the DCI meetings in Rosemont, IL this weekend.

The proposals will be sent on to the DCI Board of Directors for a vote at the annual meetings in Miami in two weeks.

A proposal to have a double panel of judges was defeated, as was a proposal to move the visual performance judge off the field into the low stands.

Meanwhile, in corps news, the Cadets of New York City sent six representatives. They have between 80 and 95 members showing up for rehearsals. They don't have enough horns or drums for everyone but don't want to send anyone away.
