Frank Kubinak, Hall of fame drill writer
Frank Kubinak, the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame drill writer for the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights, died in Tampa, FL Wednesday. Kubinak was a drill instructor for many corps and color guards in the 1960s and '70s, including the Hawthorne Caballeros. The Caballeros have lost three key people who helped them earn multiple DCA championships in the '70s -- including Jim Costello, George Tuthill and Kubinak -- in the last year.
