This weekend in Rochester, NY, at the 2007 Drum Corps Associates Championships, Drum Corps World will have a table in the souvenir area offering a special price for new subscribers who sign up for a one-year subscription or current subscribers who wish to renew for an additional year. The introductory price is $40.00 for U.S. residents and $51.00 for Canadian residents . . . $15.00 off the regular price! A similar discount will be offered on first class subscriptions for U.S. or Canadian fans.

There will be Drum Corps World staff members — Publisher Steve Vickers, Features Editor Cozy Baker, writers Ace Holleran, Daniel Buteau and Bill Flaker, as well as photographers Dan Scafidi, Francesca DeMello and Richard Wersinger, among others — at the table between the time the gates open and the beginning of the preliminary competition on Saturday afternoon, the “Alumni Spectacular” on Sunday morning and the finals on Sunday evening.

Drum Corps World will also be distributing copies of the post-DCI edition, dated August 31, 2007, that contains full scores and reviews of the Drum Corps International Championships at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA, several weeks ago that celebrated that organization’s 35th Aniversary, along with reports and scores on recent DCA competitions around the country. The issue is also full of photographs of all participating corps in Pasadena and most of the current competing corps that will be appearing at DCA in Rochester.

There will be a drawing for a pair of 2008 DCA Championship Finals 50-yard-line seats from among the new and renewal subscribers who purchase a subscription during the weekend events at Paetec Park Stadium in Rochester on Saturday or Sunday.

Stop by and say hello, introduce yourself to the staffers at the table and purchase an 18-issue subscription for the next year to the activity’s only frequently-published periodical . . . Drum Corps World!
