Photographs needed for new DCW/DCI project

by Steve Vickers, DCW Publisher

Drum Corps World and Drum Corps International are working on a project that requires photographs dating back to the 1972 championship event at the University of Wisconsin’s Warhawk Stadium in Whitewater, WI. Most of the material will come from the archives of Drum Corps World in Madison, WI, but there will be a number of smaller corps that very little, if any, pictures are available from that time period.

If you can help by providing good-quality images of the following corps from the 1972 season, please contact Steve Vickers at publisher@drumcorpsworld.com. We would prefer borrowing the print for scanning at the DCW office in Madison, WI, but a JPG file at 300 dpi would be fine, e-mailed to Steve Vickers.

The photos do NOT need to have been taken at the 1972 DCI Championships, but they do need to be from the 1972 season. We are looking for images that show more than one person, show the uniforms from that season well and are action shots, not formal group pictures or posed. If you can send one or more prints from the 1972 season, mail to . . .
