Items sought for DCW’s next Historic Record Auction

The 22nd annual Historic Record Auction will appear in the March 2004 edition of Drum Corps World. The issue will be mailed to subscribers on Thursday, February 12. The listing of available items will also be posted on this Web site at the same time.

Drum corps fans who would like to sell all or part of their collection are asked to consider selling through this proven auction. Details on how the auction works can be found by clicking here.

The following types of items will be accepted:

* Record albums
* Compact discs
* Cassette tapes
* Reel-to-reel tapes
* Videotapes
* DVDs

All items should be in very good condition — no bad scratches, no warped discs, no erased sections — in the original jacket or case.

If you are interested in selling items, please send an e-mail to DCW publisher Steve Vickers (publisher@drumcorpsworld.com) with a list of the items you wish to submit. You will then be asked to ship the items to the following address via UPS and insured for whatever value you place on the collection: Drum Corps World, c/o 56 Golf Course Road, Madison, WI 53704

The deadline for items to arrive in our office is February 2. If you have any questions, please call Steve Vickers at 1-800-554-9630 between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Central time weekdays.

This auction has been operated in March and August each year for the past decade. Thousands of items have been sold during that time. Hundreds of drum corps fans have found recordings they lost, loaned to a friend and didn’t get back, or never purchased when first released.

Now is your opportunity to pass along your unneeded recordings, earn some money and make some drum corps fans very happy to find recordings they never thought they would find.
