The Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, CA, represented the drum and bugle corps activity well during their appearance in the 115th “Tournament of Roses” parade on New Year’s Day through Pasadena, CA. The combined Santa Clara Vanguard, Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and Santa Clara Vanguard Alumni, numbering nearly 270, was decked out in full uniform and performed “Festive Overture Fanfare,” “Procession of the Nobles,” “Henry V” and “If You Believe.” More than 1,000,000 spectators lined the nearly five-mile parade route and the corps was covered by NBC, Home and Garden Television and The Travel Channel that reached millions more people all over the world during the live coverage.
