During the summers of 2002 and 2003, the DCM Scholarship Committee awarded $2,500 in scholarship money to members of the circuit's corps. The number of scholarships and the dollar amount presented (not to exceed $1,000 each) is determined by the DCM Scholarship Committee.

In order to be eligible for the award, applicants must:

1. Be a member in good standing of a Drum Corps Midwest drum and bugle corps.
2. Plan to continue their education at the post-high school level during the current year.
3. Submit a letter of reference from a school principal, counselor or teacher testifying to the applicant's character and eligibility.
4. Submit a transcript of grades.
5. Write an essay explaining their objectives, career goals and what participation in drum and bugle corps has provided them.


The deadline for application is June 15 each year.
