During the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, publisher Steve Vickers took time to design five of the six books being offered here. The 2014 book was created following that particular season, but was available to fans only by ordering on a compact disc. This new method offers each of the six books in an immediately-downloadable format that will be easy to view on a laptop or desktop computer.

The 2014 book was created in a “portrait” format and the other books are set up for “landscape” viewing.

The images included in these six books were taken by Drum Corps World photographers who had full access to the sidelines at circuit and association field competitions around the world.

None of the photos have appeared in any other publication or project produced by Sights & Sounds, Inc., Drum Corps World or on the DCW Facebook page. There are some groups that are not included, unfortunately, because staff members were not at events where they appeared or images of the corps was not included in the archives of the publication.

Two-page layouts for the DCI and DCA corps in all six books average 10 or more images per group. There are one-page layouts for the foreign corps in the 2014 book which has a different design format (portrait) than the 2015 to 2019 books (landscape). The pages that feature single photos are because there weren’t sufficient numbers of photographs of ALL groups available to be consistent throughout.

The 2015 to 2019 books include headshots of the photographers whose images are showcased in the books, along with their e-mail address and the state or country where they are based. Feel free to contact any of them with questions. All photos are identified with the photographer’s name on each page or pair of pages.

If enough copies of the electronic books are sold, there are nine additional books that can be created for the 2005 to 2013 seasons.

Inquiries about the books can be directed to Steve Vickers by contacting him at publisher@drumcorpsworld.com or calling him at 608-249-2590 (cell) between 4:00 PM and 9:30 PM Central time any day of the week.
